meded.ink is a presenter console for delivering live teaching presentations. It renders web-based slide decks and adds the tools a teacher needs while actually speaking: a webcam picture-in-picture, a laser pointer and spotlight, freehand pen and highlighter annotation, region zoom, and a talk timer.
Who runs it
It is built and run by Sajan Acharya, a physician and medical educator, as a personal tool for his own teaching sessions — lectures, case discussions and guideline reviews for trainees.
What this site is not
It is not a commercial service. It sells nothing, hosts no advertising, runs no third-party trackers, and does not intentionally profile visitors. Hosting providers may process ordinary traffic and security logs needed to operate the site. There is no public sign-up — the sign-in page exists solely for the single owner account. Only presentations deliberately marked public by the owner appear in the visitor library; drafts, editing history, original backups and owner settings remain private.
Privacy
The site does not run analytics or advertising profiles on public-page visitors. Signed-in use stores only what the tool needs to work: presentations uploaded by the owner and their display settings. If a visitor submits a slide comment, the chosen display name, comment text and slide number are retained for moderation. A one-way technical fingerprint is used briefly to slow repeated submissions; raw addresses are not stored with comments. Vercel processes application traffic and Supabase stores account, presentation and comment data as infrastructure providers; the data is not sold, used for advertising, or shared for unrelated purposes.
Medical information
This tool is for de-identified educational material. Presentations must not contain patient names, medical-record numbers, dates of birth, faces, or other protected health information.
Technical
The site is a Next.js application hosted on Vercel, served over HTTPS. Uploaded presentation files are stored in private object storage. The application serves only the current files of presentations explicitly published by the owner; backups and edit history remain owner-only.
